In addition, this concentrated formula contains essential fatty acids (EFA’s) from full-fat flax meal for inflammatory response and coat, minerals and antioxidants for aging organs and yeast to improve mineral absorption. Older horses are also more likely to get Cushing’s disease, so tyrosine and phenylalanine are added to stimulate dopamine, a neurotransmitter substance that is lacking in Cushing’s disease cases.
