| Internal parasites steal nutrition and energy from sheep and goats, and can lead to death if not properly managed. Regular de-worming, using a veterinarian-recommended sheep worming schedule or goat worming schedule, can lay the foundation for good animal health. Monitor sheep and goats closely for signs of anemia caused by stomach worm infestation. The easiest way to make this diagnosis is to look at the color of the lower inner-eyelid membrane. A healthy animal will exhibit a bright red/pink membrane. Light pink or white membranes usually indicate the need for immediate de-worming. |
