My Mule Emmett has a Thrush problem right now and we were having to medicate and wrap his hoof every day. The duct tape and wrap were wearing off and it was a real pain. In years past treating an abscessed hoof in my barn required a Veterinarian, stalling the horse and repeated re-treatments requiring multiple rolls of Duct Tape. Since I have purchased the Davis Boot I have eliminated all of the above. I have the advantage of being a dentist so the procedure of excavating the diseased hoof and treating the abscess were not only easy for me, but fun because of the relative increased size of the treatment area.
