I would like to say this product is great. I have a now blind 32 year old horse and this product has given him a very nice summer. Love this stuff. My percheron is normally scabbed from the breast to the butt on the underbelly each summer but this stuff has decreased his need to scratch due the bug bites and cut down on his inflammation and belly scabs by at least 75%. this is my first summer using it and I'll certainly use it from now on in conjunction with a quick spray of regular fly spray every few days. I've been using this product during fly season on my two horses for several years now & it works. I really like not breathing in pesticides while spraying every day. It repels flies, mosquitos, and I've never found ticks on the horses while using it, and we have a lot here. I try to avoid too much shampoo or direct water pressure on application areas when bathing, and it works for over 2 weeks in our dry-summer area(Central Coast Calif). When camping in areas with cows, or tacking up for the trail, I also apply a light spritz of herbal fly spray, just for a little extra insurance, not sure its even needed. Only drawback (besides price) is it leaves an oily spot where its applied and dust sticks to it when the horses roll in their dust bath area, mostly the first few days. Freedom is scentless. I've tried the Equi Spot and didn't like the strong smell. Is this testimonial helpful?
