In addition, this concentrated formula contains essential fatty acids (EFA's) from full-fat flax meal for inflammatory response and coat, minerals and antioxidants for aging organs and yeast to improve mineral absorption. Older horses are also more likely to get Cushing's disease, so tyrosine and phenylalanine are added to stimulate dopamine, a neurotransmitter substance that is lacking in Cushing's disease cases. Contains magnesium, also known to be important in the treatment of Cushing's. Since nutrient absorption declines in the older horse, only the chelated forms of minerals are used for maximum uptake, with special attention to ensure that calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium are all balanced in proportion to one another. Feed one serving (2 scoops) twice daily. Pellets.

I have a senior horse who is 18 and has been diagnosed with navicular changes. We retired him at age 8 because he was limping at the trot. When it got bad he would even limp at the walk. I tried different supplements over the years but started using this one about 4 years ago. It has kept my horse from getting any worse. He is pain free at the walk and I have even seen him trotting in the field recently with no limp. I wonder if I could even ride him. This product is easy to use and my horse always eats it. Just a short piece on this subject! I am very pleased with this product! In just 2 weeks my seƱor horse showed improvement in his well being feeling better and sounder so that being said I have already recommended Command Senior Pellets to friends with older arthritic horses. It also is very palatable to the horsey taste buds :) Is this testimonial helpful?

This is a nice halter, but I prefer break-away halters. They are much safer for your horse. We changed this one by replacing the top strap with a leather one so that now it is break-away. Is this testimonial helpful?

We have started feeding Command Senior Pellets to our 32 year old National Champion Appaloosa, King Goer. The product is easy to feed with his daily grain. He seems to be moving more freely since starting this product-I plan to use it throughout the winter to give it a fair test. Is this testimonial helpful?

I really get great results from the command senior product, and was excited to see it come out in a pelletted form. It is easier to add in the horses feed, but the drawback is that you have to feed two scoops TWICE daily, which is kind of a hassle. The product itself has a "fishy" smell- which I thought the horses might not like, but it didnt seem to bother them. I will probably go back to the powdered version, but I will be sticking with this product. Is this testimonial helpful?
