I was amazed that this product keeps my severely foundered old mare comfortable. I had been using bute paste and powder for over a year, and was concerned about ulcers. This product works well for our application. The old girl is just a "pasture pet" now, so I don't know if it would work as well for a horse being ridden or worked, but she can even tolerate the farrier pretty well using this stuff. I ride and train performance horses and I have used this product for many years. It just works. I'm not a fan of using bute or other drugs for pain management. Sometimes a young horse just gets a little sore in his hocks from being used. This product is a great alternative to injections and bute therapy. It will also help an arthritic or sore footed horse.
