I would recomend the Su-per Substitute Powder to anyone who has a horse that has been injured, and has arthretic problems... I have a 1999 regesterd quarter horse that was used for barrels and roping at one point... She was given to my daughter for a starter horse... she is retired now and was hit by a truck around 2010 she was in really bad shape she stood with a bull legged poster just in her front legs where she was hit and didnt move around very well... I had her on Cosequin for while but that didnt seem to do the job very well she was under weight and the cosequin just made her stand normal with no energy and a very stiff walk and trot... I put her on this powder just to try it and see how it may effect her... Boy what a diffrence... she has been on it for about 2 months now and the old girl runs, kicks, plays, and what a diffrence it has made in her trail riding performance... She has put on about 200 pounds and is spunky and loves to go for rides now... Almost like a brand new horse... This has really helped my gelding with his hind leg swelling. He kicked his pipe corral pretty hard when we had some unfamiliar horses use our extra corral during some flooding. I noticed a reduction in swelling right away when I started adding this to his daily supplements. I plan on keeping him on it until he's back to 100%. Is this testimonial helpful?

I ride and train performance horses and I have used this product for many years. It just works. I'm not a fan of using bute or other drugs for pain management. Sometimes a young horse just gets a little sore in his hocks from being used. This product is a great alternative to injections and bute therapy. It will also help an arthritic or sore footed horse. I was amazed that this product keeps my severely foundered old mare comfortable. I had been using bute paste and powder for over a year, and was concerned about ulcers. This product works well for our application. The old girl is just a "pasture pet" now, so I don't know if it would work as well for a horse being ridden or worked, but she can even tolerate the farrier pretty well using this stuff. Best yet, she'll take it in her small portion of grain, as she usually roots out any "foreign" stuff and had to be physically forced to take meds in the past. Well worth trying, and cheaper, too!
