Grooma Easy Wormer...Great Product-Not a Gimmick

I have a six year old paint gelding that was injured. It is a battle to get any kind of oral medication into his mouth. He will toss his head and clinch his lips. He will not eat medications in his grain either. Anyway, I had to find some way to get oral pain medications into the animal in an effective manner. This product really works. I had the required dose of phenylbutazone administered in about 5 minutes. No fighting or hassles. (Four of the five minutes was spent waiting for him to swallow the medication). If this product would not have worked the next step would have been injectable pain medication which my veterinarian said was not the best course of action. He wanted me to have the horse on pain medication for about a week. If you need to get the job done, get this product. It is worth every cent. Is this testimonial helpful?

Best invention period!!! Giving tube meds or worming medicine has been a nightmare with my 14 yr old mare from day 1!!! She used to throw her head up high and refuse to open her mouth long enough to shoot it in. I would have to squirt it between a few pieces of bread or wipe it on an apple and even that didn't work. I had my 3 horses wormed in about ten minutes. I went to my local tack/supply store and told them they should carry it. I was worried you couldn't use the larger paste tubes but you just shoot the meds through the bit and push the plunger through the opening and in a snap it's done. After fighting our horse regularly over taking wormers, I decided to purchase the Grooma Easy Wormer. It has definitely changed our experience with worming her. It is so much easier and less stressful for me and the horse using this bit. The horse was still fighting me over wanting to take the easy wormer bit in her mouth until I took a small amount of molasses and rubbed it on each side of the bit. I then place small strips of wax paper over the molasses. When I am ready to place it in her mouth, I remove the wax paper and let her smell the bit. She has started trying to lick it out of my hand now and readily takes the bit. Worming time has become more of a treat time rather than a frustrating and dangerous experience. It used to take both my husband and myself to worm our horses. With the Easy wormer, I can go out by myself and I have the horses all wormed without any hassles! This has saved us time and frustration! I would say this is the most useful aid I have ever purchased for my horses care. A must have if you even have one problem horse while worming. I just ordered my second one. I used my first easy wormer aid an average of 16 times a year for the past three years. The only issue I had is one of my horses got ahold of it and chewed it - it's tough and durable, but she really did a number on it! Is this testimonial helpful?

For three years I have thought up ways to get my mare to take her bi-monthly wormer. In Grain, in apples, ect.. She will not let a tube anywhere near her mouth, and if you manage to sneak it fast, she will go crazy and becomes dangerous to be around.. I put this on her, putting the bit in like we are going riding, slide the paste in the tube and she takes it like a champ, not even minding one bit she has been wormed... I have one horse that was so afraid of things around his mouth that I couldn't worm him like the rest. The Easy Wormer has allowed me to not only get him wormed better but I may be able to actually worm him normally at some point since he is getting less and less afraid as I continue to use the Easy wormer. After years of trying to wrestle my gelding (guess who won...)into taking wormers, I decided to try this product. My husband, who also had to help wrestle my gelding (guess who still won...) laughed and said that I had wasted my money. But, for $20 bucks, I figured it was worth a try. I put the Grooma Easy Wormer bridle on my horse over his halter for several days and just pretended it was business as usual. Then, on the fourth day, I slipped my worming syringe out of my pocket, injected it into the bit, and inserted the plunger: all of the wormer paste ended up in my horses mouth...(and not all over me!). I left it on him for about five minutes to make sure he had swallowed all of it. I know he was wondering how THAT had happened without a fight! I rinsed it in the sink in hot soapy water and hung it to dry. I keep putting the Easy Wormer Bridle on him every few days just so he doesn't associate it with getting wormed...he still doesn't have a clue and I'm not telling!!! Take the hassle out of worming hard to worm horses. We purchased the Easy Wormer out of frustration. We now just place the bit in his mouth, slide the strap over this ears and shoot the wormer. Basically, if you can get a bit in their mouth, you can worm them! Clean up is a snap, as I give it a quick rinse and then through it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean (top shelf). I've recommended the Easy Wormer to friends who have found the same success. One trick we tried, was putting molasses on the plunger first, followed by the wormer. Now worming is a treat time too and our hard to worm horse looks forward to it! Is this testimonial helpful?

This is without a doubt the best invention! My horses are so bad at taking wormer & other meds so I thought I'd try something different and boy what an improvement!
