I free-feed when I'm weaning foals and it kept their weight up okay. When I added this product they get downright fat! It's superb. My foals don't lose any weight and they all just bloom! I've been feeding it to two yearling colts and I'm back for more. I'll keep feeding it to them and add it to the "soon to be weanlings" feed as well. I can't recommend this enough. I have a 12 year old gelding that is a very picky eater and doesn't put on weight. I put him on two scoops (4 ounces) per day and in one week I saw noticeable weight gain. Within 2 weeks, I had to decrease his feed because he started getting a tad "plump." He is a normally excitable horse but didn't get "high" from this supplement. I fully recommend it for anyone trying to put weight on a horse and, if they are finicky, you just may discover that they REALLY like their grain once you add this in. Mine certain has! I have tried this with several horses and it puts a shine on even the dull skinny rescues within a week or so. It also adds the weight well at 4 scoops a day and doesn't make the horses hot like some other weight gain products. I give it an A plus! Is this testimonial helpful?
