What is Uroeze used for?
Uroeze is a urinary acidifier used to disolve certain types of urinary stones in dogs and cats. Uroeze may also be used to help prevent urinary tract infections.

Uroeze contains ammonium chloride, which acidifies the urine. It also helps to treat and prevent certain types of bladder stones.

Uroeze is a urinary acidifier used in the treatment and prevention of certain types of urinary stones. Uroeze may be used for other purposes, as directed by your veterinarian. Monitoring the pH of freshly voided urine may be advisable.
How to give this medication:
Uroeze chewable tablets may be crumbled and mixed into the food. The suggested dosage for adult cats and dogs is 200-400 mg per 10 lbs. body weight twice daily with food. Daily dose may vary with different diets depending on alkalinity of diet. Uroeze has a bitter taste. If your pet refuses to eat food to which Uroeze has been added, contact your veterinarian. Give this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. If you do not understand the directions, ask the veterinarian or pharmacist to explain them to you.
If you miss a dose:
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and give the next one as directed. Do not double dose.
Uroeze should not be used in:
Do not administer to animals with severe liver or kidney damage or to animals exhibiting acidosis.
Possible side effects:
In rare cases, animals may experience gastrointestinal disturbance. If you observe this or any other side effects, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.
