Cannot find any Grooma's locally and I don't understand it!? This is the BEST currycomb - gets out MORE hair and dirt, and easier to clean. Made of good rubber and fits the hand right. There are a lot of knockoff, look-a-likes but when you compare you immediately see that the knockoffs are made of too flexible rubber (won't work over the longterm) and are just cheap. I worked on an elderly draft horse who was shedding his winter coat yesterday. First I used a metal curry comb. Then a flat rubber one. I got out lots of hair with these tools until no more hair would come out. Then I switched to the Grooma Groomer and worked in a circular motion. WOW! Tons and tons of MORE hair started piling up around my feet. The Grooma cleared itself easily (the nubs are tapered so the matts slip off) without me having to pull and pick them out. It was very impressive! There was a look of utter bliss on the draft horse's face even after an hour of grooming. He was enjoying the whole thing immensely and didn't give me a bit of trouble about standing so long -- something he rarely does with good grace. It's definitely worth the money. Grooma Groomer for shedding: I love this groomer! Its the best for getting out loose hair during shedding time. Unlike other brushes you can just peel the hair out of the groomer as you go along rather than having it flying through the air and all over you. Worked in a circular motion the horse gets a massage as well. Is this testimonial helpful?
