What is Revolution for Cats used for?
Revolution for Cats is a topical solution to control fleas, flea eggs, heartworms, ear mites, roundworms and hookworms in cats.

How it works:
Revolution for Cats contains selamectin, which is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. It kills fleas, prevents heartworm disease, and treats and controls ear mites, roundworms and hookworms. Revolution for Cats prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month, to prevent reinfestation.
What you should know:
Revolution for Cats is for cats 8 weeks of age and older. Your cat may be tested for heartworm infections prior to use.
How to give this medication:
Firmly press the cap down to puncture the seal on the Revolution tube. To apply Revolution, part the hair on cat’s back, at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube 3 or 4 times to empty its entire contents directly onto the skin in one spot. Give this medication exactly as directed by your veterinarian. If you do not understand the directions, ask the veterinarian or pharmacist to explain them to you.
If you miss a dose:
If you miss a dose, give it as soon as you remember. Do not double dose.
Revolution for Cats should not be used in:
Revolution for Cats is not recommended for cats that are under 8 weeks of age.
Possible side effects:
Some patients may exhibit reactions, including irritation or temporary hair loss at the application site, salivation, decreased appetite, lethargy, vomiting and muscle tremors. If you observe any of these side effects, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.

I have 3 dogs and 3 cats and for some reason Hunter my long haired cat is the only one who REALLY suffered with flea infestation! It was terrible! I was giving him a flea bath once a week which helped for 2 days but after that he was infested once again... I tired a number of products and finally came across this one. I applied it to ALL 6 of my animal that night I recivevd Revolution. I woke up this morning with Hunter sleeping right next to me. I see all these black dots in his fur I took him out to the kitchen to run a flea comb through him. I was amazed ALL the fleas were dead and falling off of him! I couldn't believe it! I have tried every other flea control product on the market and this is by far the best. Here in the south we have such mild winters that fleas are out and about pretty much year round. I also love the fact that it covers heartworms. Plus it's very cost effective! I was paying $30 more for heartworm preventative and flea drops at the vet. Is this testimonial helpful?

I have used this before on my felines (approx. 3 years) works great for the earmites as well, but is very slow to work, once you start with Revolution you must continue because it is so slow to work you don't want your felines to get behind in the treatment. However, when we got our Snickers (canine) in the precautions it states that Revolution isn't appropriate around canines, so we switched. Is this testimonial helpful?
