i wasnt sure i wanted to pay the money for the Scale Scoop, but so glad i did!! well made. i switched to pellets from hay, and after researching discovered that the best way to feed was based on weight and activity level. i was getting frustrated trying to figure out how to convert quarts to pounts from my scoops and in the end i really needed to weigh my feeds because they dont all weight the same. i am feeding alfalfa/grass pellets and a complete feed. this scoop is awesome. i highly recomend it. you dont have to find a place to hang it, like feed scales, put your feed on it and rescoop it out and put in another bucket. you just scoop the feed into it add or take away as needed and pour! the weight barometer is by the handle, large and easy to read. (be careful not to lean it on anything, or you will get an incorrect reading if you arms get tired if you are weighing lots of scoops. or if a youth is using it) would buy another one if anything were to happen to this one and will recommend to anyone who has to feed pellet feed or weigh their feeds.
