Quick shipping and product delivered as expected. I'm using this product as a cheap alternative to Heartgard. So far so good! I'd like to also note that I do not recommend anyone try this without first getting approval from a Vet. Is this testimonial helpful?

We rescue a lot of stray dogs. Our vet told us about using Ivomec as a heartworm preventative and as a treatment for mange. We've been very happy with the results in both cases! Although one of the other reviewers said Ivomec should not be used on the sheep dog family, our vet told us not to use this product on our collie mix. He said it should not be used on any type of collie or any dog that has collie in it. (Perhaps I'm showing my ignorance and collies are part of the sheep dog family but I wanted to make sure everyone is aware of the danger if Ivomec is given to a collie.) Is this testimonial helpful?

By recommendation of my former vet I have used IVOMEC 1% to worm my horses, dogs, sheep, goats, and a couple of cows over the last 7 years. It is important to note that all animals must take the proper dose orally for body weight. I have injected the ruminants. For horses wormed 4X annually I soak apple wafers (manna pro) over night with the specific CCs for each horse and they eat it up--absolutely no waste. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Is this testimonial helpful?

I have been giving Ivomec orally to my two German Shepherds for a few years now and not one has a heartworm to be found. I had a 6-year-old Blue Healer that I had checked for heartworms a few years ago and she didn't have any. I have read up on this via the internet and the only dogs that shouldn't be administered this drug are dogs in the sheep dog family. Check out the internet for amount to be given for poundage of dog or ask your local feed and seed store. They can usually tell you also. Is this testimonial helpful?

I know that Ivomec is used primarily for cattle and swine, but when my 1-year-old Great Dane was diagnosed with diodectic mange, his vet recommended using it. What a difference!! He has been outbreak-free for months...and that's saying something! If it works this well in dogs, I can only imagine how well it would work for cattle and swine. Is this testimonial helpful?
