We ordered 3 heating pads for dogs living at one of our farm shelters. They have worked out well and the dogs love them. The heat is on all the time which is great. They are NOT of the variety where the dogs have to sit on them before they become hot. They would be great for any outside dog and would also fit into dog houses. Is this testimonial helpful?

I am really pleased with this warmer. I got the medium size a week ago, and my barn cats are now enjoying it. I also got the sheepskin pad. This warmer is actually a hard plastic, which was a nice surprise - it seems sturdy. It will not bend like a regular heating pad. The cord is fairly long, which is nice. The shipping was very fast. I've always worried about the 5 cats in the barn getting through the winter. I got three heating mats and it is very sturdy, safe and clean. It didn't take long for the cats to find the best spot in the barn and they can move away from it if they want. I got a second one to sit their water bowls on so they don't freeze and it works really well with the tip-proof metal bowls. The third one went on the back porch for the dog to curl up on when I'm away. The mats are fully enclosed and I feel that they are very safe. Is this testimonial helpful?
