The floats seal the water away from outside. Whenever an animal drinks, it removes a quantity of water which is immediately replaced by ground water through the valve. This exchange of water keeps the water warm even in the coldest climate. Tested in continental U.S. to remain frost-free with as few as 6 head drinking every other day. Frame and cover are made of high impact Rock-ite. Each model comes with anchors for mounting to concrete pad, pipe insulation, and a section of 3/4" PVC pipe.
