These seem to work very well although we have had 2 of them fall off w/in a week of putting them on. Think they only came off from playing with each other. Good news is they go right back on & the calves didn't seem to mind getting them on again. They seem to be good construction. We had tried the Kant-Suk weaners also but seems our calves were too smart for them & learned very quickly to turn their head sideways & still nurse. With these there is NO NURSING! WOULD RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR A QUIET & LOW STRESS WEANING! Is this testimonial helpful?

A decade ago my son dreaded weaning time because his bedroom faced the pasture where we weaned our calves. Every night for a week the cows & calves bawled at each other through the fence and the noise was terrific - not to mention stressful for the animals.
Then I started using these weaners. Changed our lives! We run the calves through the chute, slip these rings in their noses, give 'em their vaccinations, and off they go! You would never know they were being weaned - there is no crying, stress, or weight loss. Calves stay in the pasture with their dams, and everybody (including my son!) is happy. After a couple of weeks we remove the rings, wash them, and put them on the shelf for a year. I have rings that I have been re-using for nearly ten years. Wish I'd had them sooner!
