EquiSect Fly Repellent

(Farnam) A water-based repellent spray approved for horses, dogs and cats. I am pleased to report that this fly repellent actually works. We have had a wet spring with lots of flies hatching, especially the aggressive green headed flies, and this is one spray that actually repels them for a long time. They don't even try to land on the horse. Extremely reasonable price for the effectiveness. Try it. Is this testimonial helpful?

No More Horse Flies!!!

I have only used this product once, but that was all it took to convince me. Last evening, a friend and I went riding. She sprayed her horse with another leading fly spray and I used the Equisect. First of all, the smell seemed to offend my horse less than the 'other brand', which is what I was previously using. Second, it's not oily. Third, my horse had NO horse flies hovering around him while hers had a minimum of 3 or 4 at a time. And, last, when I got home my horse was not filthy from the dirt sticking to him. Since it is not oily, I also decided to spray my clothing. The flies left me alone, as well. So far, I must say I'm impressed. Is this testimonial helpful?

I was having problems with my young Dutch Warmblood loosing patches of hair, getting scabby lesions, and rubbing off his tail and mane. My first reaction was that he was allergic to the bugs since it only happened when the bugs were really bad. My vet was not convinced that it was a simple reaction to bugs alone. Then I started to think maybe it was the fly sprays I was using since I always tried to find the most potent ones to help him. This spray was reccommended to me last year by my tack shop because of its natural, gentle ingrediants. I also purchased a fly sheet as well. WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! Within a week I noticed the changes. He was no longer itching his tail and mane off and his scabs were beginning to heal. He has had a beautiful perfect coat for ever since!! I love this product! So many other fly sprays we tried had chemicals that made one of my quarter horses sick. But here in the midwest, if you don't use fly spray, the horses are miserable. So she was either miserable from the spray or miserable from the flies. We had found a spray that did not make her sick, but it was oil based and the protection wore off so quickly. We had to apply more than twice a day. Then their coats were always oily and dirty. But Equisect is water based, it is natural, AND IT WORKS!!! We spray all of the horses in the morning and they are happy all day long. An added bonus is that we can also use this product on the dogs and cat. I don't want to sound like a commercial, but thank you Farnam! Is this testimonial helpful?
