We adopted our dog Gracie from our local animal shelter. She's the sweetest dog in the world, but she was surrendered because she obsessively licked her right front paw until it was raw, hairless, and bleeding. Her previous owners didn't know how to handle it but we fell in love with her and decided to take on the challenge. After months of trying different things, our vet suggested we put her on Clomipramine to see if that would do the trick. Sure enough, it did. It took a few weeks to fully kick in but once it did the licking stopped completely. She has been on Clomipramine for about a year now and she's had no recurrence of the obsessive licking. She is calmer and less anxious but it doesn't sedate her at all. This medication saved Gracie's paw and enables her to relax and enjoy life a little better!
One thing to note: I searched around for the best prices and Valley Vet delivers quality products for the lowest prices I could find. Not to mention that shipping is free. I highly recommend Valley Vet. Is this testimonial helpful?
