I like this trap it is incredibly effective. But only when I let it fall from the spindle down to the floor/ground. The manufacturer suggests it to go from spindle to spindle. This does not work for me. (at all). I found this out by accident this year when it fell from the second spindle and was filled with flies by the next morning; maybe 35 or 40 in our garage. I then cut off two lengths of sticky tape from the original spool to have it in a total of three locations and each time it got rid of the flies. Our tack room was so infested. Seriously, they landed on it so fast, overnight or a full day, but it was so effective I felt bad. It was like genocide. All gone but, its them or its me so... Is this testimonial helpful?

I have used the sticky fly tape for at least 5 years. It has proven to be the most effective weapon against flys. I have tried almost every type of trap, spray, barrier, voodoo available and this is the best by far. The tape is easy to mount under the stall roof and the flys natural instinct to lite on it is amazing. It is easy to roll out new tape as the old tape becomes full of flys, and every fly that is stuck to the tape is not making babies! There is no smell and the full tape just goes in the trash. The only downfall is if the horse area is extremelly dusty, the dust makes the tape not sticky. But this has not been a problem, as the product is very reasonably priced and I just have to roll out the tape a little more often. The only other issue is the glue is verrrry sticky and you can only get it off with some type of oil (baby oil etc...soap does not remove it) I recommend this product to all of my friends.
