The most effective and certainly least costly method of physical therapy for the equine athlete is routinely applying cold therapy after schooling, a cross-country run or a horse show event. For treatment, the cold therapy can be used to help reduce pain, reduce swelling and inflammation, facilitate recovery after orthopedic surgery, reduce muscle damage and reduce heat. Ice Horse cold therapy leg wraps are especially beneficial for bowed tendons, bucked shins, tendonitis, bruises, ligament/tendon/muscle damage, hematomas, laminitis and wind puffs.
Quality insulated synthetic cannon bone leg wrap that stays cold up to two hours. Packs are re-freezable/reusable after three hours in the freezer.

boot for for cold / hydro therapy use on tendons and swollen legs front or rear. Velcros on easily has sturdy elastic straps so it stays put and icepack is super flexible and stays cold a good while. I bought one of these about 8 years ago for a horse w/ a bowed tendon. This is a great product for any range of horse with a leg injury. THe youngsters dont have to be baby sat in xties durring tx and the older ones who dont chew on things are good to go in the stall for 20 minutes while your doing other things around the barn.
I have also used this on myself-- many times... First time when I rolled my ankle and tore all my tendons and ligaments 3 years ago and then more recently when I sprained my mcl in my knee.. Be it known this i the first time I am replacing my ice packs.. They lasted 8 years of pretty consistent use!!! the boot is still in awesome shape. For the money this is a great product. I always leave one in the freezer ready to go for an emergency. Is this testimonial helpful?
