My twin daughters just received their first riding helmets. Delivery was very fast and the helmet exceeds our expectations. Very comfortable, nice padding, very easy to adjust to a perfect fit, shiny, doesn't shift, everything the description promised, just not the little knob on the top that is shown in the picture, but my girls didn't mind.
Would definitely buy this product again through valleyvet.

September 2008 I was riding a new horse that I had owned less than two weeks. We had been riding him for over an hour when he was startled and began bucking for his life. My niece and nephews were riding with me and I always wore a helmet when they were over to set a good example. Long story short, his head hit mine and I was air-born. He threw me approximately 10ft in the air according to witnesses. I landed on the left back side of my head. My helmet was cracked through. I broke several ribs and seperated my shoulder. I also had a 30 second seizure when I hit my head. I was air-flighted into the hospital. No skull fracture was present. My brain was concussed but there was no swelling or bleeding present. This helmet did prevent me from having a severe brain injury and saved me from death. The emergency doctor, also a horseman, was shocked and credited the helmet with my survival. After six months of no riding, I am back in the saddle and wearing my Equi-Lite Helmet! PS: I have 39 years riding experience. It's not about experience. It's about the Brains Baby!
