Two years ago, for Christmas, I bought my spunky little mustang mare a personalized halter. Her colors are red and purple. I use the halter a lot especially for cross-tie at the wash rack. I have always wanted one of these wonderful halters. There are so many great colors to choose from, that I had a hard time deciding, but loved the colors of white on black,,SHARP!!! I just bought the Brookside Personalized Halter and have been buying it for 6 years now on various horses I have had. Every one has come out just beautiful. It helps to know your color schemes so that you dont have dark on dark and you cant read the lettering. But its done fast and shipped fast. Very pleased with the quality of this halter. I should say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect the quality I received for the price that I paid. The halters are well made and have the "extras" you would expect to find on a halter costing much more. I ordered two and had both personalized. I had them in less than two weeks. I received my ponies new personalized halter and it looks amazing and so well made. Very durable and thick nylon and buckles are heavy duty looks amazing. It is nicer than the standard halters for same price. I really did not expect much since it was pretty cheap for being a personalized item (seems most personalized stuff you get is lower quality merchandise) but I was very pleasantly surprised and I just ordered another one for my other horse after seeing how nice this one is. I love the colors and the quality of my new halter. I was disappointed that they had put a small o in a place where it was to be a large O (CO Cool Uno Skip) the halter had Co Cool Uno Skip. This is a very nice halter. The brass is very sturdy. The nylon is strong, but very pliable. So many times I have bought halters that are made of thick nylon and they are very stiff, but this halter is very pliable, so it is easy to work with and very comfortable on my horse. I have a coal black TWH and bought the red with black accents and red letters. wow, my horse looks like a million dollars!! It fits really well, has plenty of adjustments and would be a great halter even without the personalization. It is nice to have adjustments both at the neck and nose; makes for a nice custom fit. When ordering I accidently selected the wrong color for the overlay, and i sent ValleyVet an e-mail. hoping in being able to get it switched. I am very impressed with this halter! The nylon is thick and durable, and the monogramming is very attractive. Occasionally, my horse, Prince, spooks while he is tied, causing a breaking of one of the cheap metal rings on his halter, but the all the hardware on this Brookside halter feel very heavy and solid! I think we'll have a hard time wearing out this halter! Also, I highly recommend neon colors if you have your horse out at night shows or on evening trail rides frequently - the color is very easy to see, and the nylon reflects very well in vehicle headlights.
