My mare got a wound on her pastern, with a skin flap that
couldn't be stitched. She also, got "exuberent granulation
of tissue, "proud flesh".
With a few e mails to the company on their experience with this type of wound, I was able to use the wound wash & mechanically reduce the proud flesh, refresh the wound
bed, with a tooth brush. I then used the wound cream
around the edges only, then wound wash on a gauze
