I have had 4 of the Health E-Z Hay Feeders up in my barn since Oct last year and just love them. It has not only slowed down the horses eating to 3hrs but there is less manure to clean up. I know I have saved at least 25% in hay costs with no more waste. Great product. Is this testimonial helpful?

I bought two of these E-Z Hay Feeders about six weeks ago. They are used to feed my alpacas. Each one is hung on a fence post. I can easily lift the empty bin to my side of the fence, refill with hay, and then flip it back on the alpaca side of the fence. This keeps the hay off the ground. Alpacas eat it within a day - even in the rain. Today I am buying two more. Then I will be able to space them out further apart; about 4-5 alpacas can easily feed off one feeder. I have been searching for years for a hay bag that would 1) slow down my horses hay consumption and 2) prevent my mini from helping himself to my big horses ration of hay. My horse is a dedicated hay bag killer and has managed to tear apart any bag I have purchased within a few weeks. This feeder is GREAT! I have had it almost a year with no damage and use it multiple times each day. Temperature here ranges from below zero to over a hundred (thanks New England) and the feeder has not cracked, dented etc. It is easy to clean and fill. My horse now spends roughly twice as long eating his hay and less time cribbing. Best of all, not much hay ends up on the floor so his mini pal cannot just pig out. It can hold a lot of hay or just a flake or two if that is how you feed. Negatives: he can really bang it around in the stall. Not a bother with one horse but might be annoying if you have a barn full of horses all banging their feeders around. Also, I think this item could damage (scratch or dent) the finish of a horse trailer if the horse was really having fun with it. I would replace this in a minute if he ever does damage it and would order another instantly if I had another horse. I really wish they made this product with capacity and openings sized for minis, that would be perfect! Is this testimonial helpful?

I bought 2 of these feeders and have been using them for 3 weeks. They are easy to fill and have held up well to 7 different destructive horses. I have to pile hay until we buy more of these. These feeders definitely slow them down eating the hay compared to just piling it out in the pasture. Put these on your shopping list. Is this testimonial helpful?
