This hoof boot is well worth the price. Slips right on like a sock and is easy to get off-very important when dealing with a sore hoof. The Hoof Sock keeps the hoof clean and dry. Perfect for applying poultices. I would definitely buy this product again and recommend it to other horse folks. I would buy two to have one for a spare. Might get a size larger to accommodate extra padding. While this boot won't last forever, it is much sturdier than others. No more vet wrap, duct tape or disposable diapers! My horse got an abscess in his front toe. The vet came out to dig it out, and it's quite large. After using vet wrap and duck tape, I decided to try these boots. I looked around for different boots, but I like these because they slip on like socks and have a rubber and wool pad included, which I use for extra padding. I needed something that would keep the bandage on, but not cut off the circulation, and would stay on 24 hours. However, these were not made for extensive turnout, but I find these last for around five to seven days. I can also make these last a bit longer with a vet wrap inside and duck tape on the outside. I like the boot because it's comfortable on my horse, it stays on, and is simple to use. My only complaint is that I wish these were manufactured to last a few days longer.
