(Brookside) Command Senior is specially formulated to meet the needs of older horses. Contains high levels of glucosamine sulfate, MSM, yucca and a special chondroitin sulfate from a non-bovine source to ensure joint and connective tissue health. In addition, this concentrated formula contains essential fatty acids (EFA’s) from full-fat flax meal for inflammatory response and coat, minerals and antioxidants for aging organs and yeast to improve mineral absorption. Older horses are also more likely to get Cushing’s disease, so tyrosine and phenylalanine are added to stimulate dopamine, a neurotransmitter substance that is lacking in Cushing’s disease cases.

Red was having several health issues with his feet, stiff joints, and not that purkey, but since I have used Command Senior Red who has foundered several times due to a tyroid condition besides other health issues, and is about 21 years old is no longer stiff. His coat is shiny, he feels good, can still hold a shoe, is rideable, and is still able to canter thru the pasture and enjoy life. Command Senior is a very good product and works well with other supplements. I would recommend it to anyone with an older horse even if they don't have significant health issues, just for the nutrient support it affords them. Is this testimonial helpful?

I am responsible for two aged stallions, a 34 y/o Morgan named Sweet Lips and a 22 y/o QH stallion called The Black Rattler. They are two rescue horses living at Maple Hill. Both horses are strong and healthy and wear their ages well. Part of why my old guys do so well is the Command Senior they get with each meal. This has been great for my 26 year old mare. She has arthritis in her hocks and has been more active and less tender on them since she started using this product. I have tried several supplements and this is the only one that I have noticed a difference with! Is this testimonial helpful?

I got my 18 year old horse one year ago. He was thin, nervous, and his coat was on the rough side. Today, after a 4 hour ride in 90-100 degree heat, he was fresh, and I was beat! He is sound, happy, he has the softest, smoothest, slickest coat of any of the many younger horses I've had over the years. His nickname, "Hairball" changed from fitting to a funny misnomer. I have a wonderful 16 year-old mare!! She wasn't experiencing any health or lameness issues, but I wanted to be sure she was getting the supplement that she needs as she grows older!
