Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan is chemically similar to the glycosaminoglycans in articular cartilage matrix. PSGAG is a potent proteolytic enzyme inhibitor and diminishes or reverses the pathologic processes of traumatic or degenerative joint disease which result in a net loss of cartilage matrix components. PSGAG improves joint function by reducing synovial fluid protein levels and increasing synovial fluid hyaluronic acid concentration in traumatized equine carpal and hock joints.

Adequan is a good product. I ordered this Adequan 4/25/13 and have not received it yet. Â Today is May 16th. Â It was backordered until May 8th - should have been here by now. Â Where is my order?

I have used Adequan IM Equine several times with great success in managing arthritis and ringbone for my 22 yr old Walker. I also use it annually as a preventative for my 9 yr old Walker. Adequan made a marked difference in the gait of my older horse and his ability to use his hind end comfortably. The IM is very easy to administer (Legend is awesome too, but does require a vet call due to the IV administration). I do keep my horses on a daily oral joint supplement (Cosequin with MSM for younger and a senior all around supplement for the older one) but I use this in the spring to get ready for heavier riding season and shows. It is an excellent product and I would recommend trying it first vs. daily bute, other NSAIDs or joint injections. Is this testimonial helpful?
