I've used Remission for a year now with my Icelandic ponies, my mustang and my miniature horse, and I've found it to be exceptionally effective. My mini and my mustang were prone to chronic laminitis, and the ponies are very easy keepers, but they all have been able to enjoy limited grazing without hoof issues. I have been using Remission hoof supplement for 4 years now, after my Arab mare foundered. She made a complete recovery thanks to the Lord, a great farrier, and I believe Remission. I will never know what caused the laminitis in my mare, so I continue using this product. I noticed her hooves are harder than my other 2 Arabs, so I started giving them Remission to see if it helps with heir cracks and tender footedness. It's only been 6 months since I've been giving them Remission, so I can't tell for sure if it is helping them, yet. I will write another testimonial when a year is up to better judge it. Our 12 year old mare had developed cresty neck and fat dimples on her rear along with on and off again problems with her feet. In hopes of not having to limit or remove her from pasture, and after researching different products we started her on Remission and have had great results! Without any other changes her cresty neck was GONE within a couple of months. The dimples may always be there?? but are barely visible. The hoof growth is awesome! We have since been feeding to all five and get 2 thumbs up from our farrier......every trim :) We have been using this product for almost 2 years now and would highly recommend! I can't thank Animed enough for giving me horse back. My Morgan mare is now 15 years and has been insulin resistant for years. I have had her on Quiessence (costs a ton more and only has 1.25 mg of Chromium vs. Remissions 14 mg) during all this time but this year this didn't seem to help any more and she got an enormous neck (without any grass or grain) and her blood counts (insulin and cortisol) way high. My farrier recommended Remission since he has seen a lot of horses do very well on it. After just 2 weeks on Remission her neck shrunk (everybody else noticed it) and her body shape changed. As somebody else wrote in a testimonial here her teary eyes healed at the same time too. My mare is also happy to be worked now. Before the Remission she was very lethargic and depressed. We thought we were going to have to put her down, but I thought I'd try this product as a last resort. I have to admit I was afraid it would be like buying something from the snake oil salesman, but it really works! My 14 year old Kentucky Mtn. Spotted Gelding developed Cushings and metabolic syndrome. He tried to founder, but we were able to catch it in time before he had major damage. I started to feed Remission mixed with applesauce spread on his grass hay and the change was incredible. His cresty neck has gone down, his feet have healed, my farrier was really surprised with the quick improvement and the final healing, along with the healthy new hoof growth. My vet was also impressed and has been recommending it for horses with the same problems. I will be keeping my horse on Remission and I do recommend it for horses prone to founder and laminitus. THis product has also saved me money. The endocrinoligist at the lab in Kentucky who did his blood work and diagnosis prescribed 10 mg of chromium every day along with other meds. The cost of the chromium alone is about $100.00 per month. Remission has 14mg of chromium per ounce for less than .25 cents a day on the maintenance dose. I used this for my "plump" Morgan and have noticed significant changes in his cresty neck and fatty areas. I also noticed a significant change in being tender footed, he now can cruise rocks barefoot again. Unexpected benefit was his chronic runny eyes have stopped, this was unexpected as he has been treated by vets etc for years for blocked tear ducts.
