But being in touch with his sensitive side is not all good-- he's reactive to weather changes, he's a finicky eater and a hard keeper; he often goes off his feed when we travel and some mornings he swoons in his stall at home, turning up his nose at the expensive feed, like he has "the vapors". He's an awesome horse and I feel so lucky to have him, but he's definitely on the high maintenance side.
I started Dually on daily Proviable-EQ when it first came out and I use the paste form as a booster when we travel. I am convinced it is the answer to Dually's periodic bouts of discomfort and since he's been on it, he's not had any episodes. He is eating much better-- cleaning the bowl in fact and, most noticeably, he is putting on weight so that I was able to cut his heavy grain load. The grass-like powder is highly palatable-- if Dually likes it, any horse would. But I think the biggest change I've seen in him is weight gain and digestive comfort. Proviable-EQ is just what my high-maintenance horse needed to become the perfect horse!"
