I have a 1 yr old 65# golden retriever and she has had almost every dog chew that Petsmart sells. We have tried the Nylabones and she destroys them all quickly except the aggressive chewer ones (and she doesn't like those--they have no taste and are basically just hard plastic). The compressed hides she eats too fast and vomits. The nylabones she vomits and they are dangerous because of the large pieces. The real beef femurs, hard bones, she splinters with fragments everywhere and we have to be careful she doesn't swallow any pieces. These antler chews she loves and she can grind away at them and they don't fragment. They just very slowly wear. Her first one she has now had a couple months and I am so impressed. I am buying several more so I don't have to keep looking for where she last put it. One last comment--I am going to get the largest size for her next (XL) since even the large seems just a bit small for her to hold on to with her paws. Is this testimonial helpful?
