Western Seat Cushion Performs As Advertised
Posted By: C. Haddad (Riverside, CA) Jun 23, 2012
For such a small, simple cushion, this really makes quite a difference. I have a terrific Tucker western saddle that's great in every way, except the front part of of the seat gets very uncomfortable after a short time. Maybe it's fine for a woman, but for a man it's quite hard and narrow in front (get the picture?). I wasn't really expecting much from this inexpensive, thin, short cushion, but it really made the saddle into an all day comfortable seat for me. Don't worry that it doesn't come up the back of the seat; you can't feel a seam where it ends. The fastening straps look pretty basic, but I rode some pretty good hills up and down yesterday, as well as moderate cantering and trotting, and the pad did not slip around. Really pleasantly surprised. Makes a good saddle great. Haven't had it long enough to know how it will hold up over the long term, but quality looks fine

Awesome purchase!

I can't describe how much of a difference this cusion makes! I thought that I would feel the difference in where the pad ends and the back of the seat, but you can't! I did have to adjust my stirrups up one notch because you sit a little higher in the seat, but it is well worth it and I plan on purchasing another for my husband. It provides the right relief exactly where you need it.

Cashel Seat Cushion
Posted By: mulesinmo (CUBA, MO) Oct 14, 2007
This seat pad was a life saver for me. I have tried a padded saddle, a sheepskin pad, expensive padded "riding" underwear, and nothing worked. Even using Desitin or vaseline (in an emergency), I still got really galled on my derrier. Sometimes even to the point of scabbing over, sorry to be so graphic. I ordered this pad and used it this weekend, riding 3 hours one day and 5 hours the next. Not even slightly sore, I am SOLD!! Definitely worth the (small) investment! Cindy Price, Mulerider, Cuba, MO
