Cosequin for Cats Also Helps With UT Issues
Posted By: Haflinger4me (LUTHVLE TIMON, MD) Apr 27, 2012
My male cat has been to the vet a few times with bladder issues. He had troubles urinating (painful, slow flow). I had tried many things such as using a pet fountain, leaving the bathtub on drip. He would not eat moist cat food.
The vet finally suggested Cosequin for Cats, as an off label use showed that it provided support for the inside of the bladder (making it less inflamed). I started the Cosequin and noticed a difference for my cat. He became happy and wanted to play, he would pee in the litterbox instead outside of the box.
I also have been giving him a UTI Free which also helps. If i only use one product, he does not feel as well. so i think a combo of the Cosequin and UTI free works well together.
The price from Valley Vet is great (compared to local big pet stores) and the free freight is even better.

It works AND it's palatable!
Posted By: archemy (DENVER, CO) Jan 11, 2011
My 11 year old Siamese had developed an ongoing sore shoulder. The people and horses in my family are all on joint supplements, but finding something for cats is tough.
The Cosequin for cats is GREAT! Not only does it work (she moves very well now!) but it's easy to get into her; we just open a capsule into a small amount of wet food at night and she eats it right up! Can't tell you how many cat supplements have gone in the trash or to the dogs because the cats wouldn't touch it.

21 year old cat
Posted By: Habbs (BELCHERTOWN, MA) Apr 20, 2009
Hi, my name is Habbs and my Mom has me on the Cosequin for cats, I'm 21 years old now and I can still jump up on the counters and get into everything. The other day my vet doctor Chris came to see me and she couldn't believe, with kidney disease, that I am still as mobile as I am. I'm a happy little old man kitty and it's because of the cosequin, I'm sure...
