Better than the Epics! Back Country Wide Easyboot Glove
Posted By: Ksherrard (PLEASANT HILL, MO) May 15, 2012

I have used Easyboot Epics x4 for the last 2 years. They were ok however I found it very frustrating when the buckles would get bumped open. The hardware on the front of the Epics got trashed while riding in the wilderness in Jackson, WY and in the Tetons. SO, needless to say, I was THRILLED when I saw that Easyboot came out with a "Back Country" design. I have purchased 4 boots but one of the boots is out of stock, leaving me with only 3 I have in my possession. Though I have not been able to ride with all 4 boots on, I have ridden through some nasty stuff with just the front boots. Every time I have ridden in the front boots, it has been through very sticky mud, some being knee-deep, through knee-deep water, over some nasty sharp rocks, and down paved roads. The boots show very little wear so far and I have probably ridden a good 20 miles in 3 days with them. On the slimy, muddy, downhill and uphill trails, my mare NEVER slid in her boots. The boots stayed intact and despite all the crud that collected in the boot, there was no rubbing at all. I will be excited to use the rear boots once I receive the final boot. The real test will be South Dakota in July and Shawnee National Forest in October. As it stands right now, I am impressed with what I am seeing out of the Back Country Wide Easyboot Glove.

Happy Horse with Back Country Wide Easyboot Glove
Posted By: Hoot N Boots (SPRINGFIELD, MO) May 13, 2012

I used my new Back Country Glove Easyboots on the trails today - WOW! My gelding not only went willingly with a smile on his face, he wasn't even fatigued like after our usual, shorter ride. He didn't have one "ouchy" step over rocks or staubs, and he didn't get that grouchy "lets go home" attitude. These boots definitely increased our ability to cover new terrain where I wouldn't have taken him before - and he went so happily - ears forward! I never used boots before, but after a bout with a bruised sole last month I decided it was time. I researched the different brands and models and decided these would be the best for him. Boy was I right. They stayed securely on through it all, and there were no signs of chaffing. I only bought boots for his front but am probably going to buy two more for his rear hooves. If he's happy, I'm happy, and today we are both smiling!

Back Country Wide Easyboot Glove are Fabulous Boots!
Posted By: RascalsMom (KNOXVILLE, TN) Mar 26, 2012

I tried my gelding in several styles of boots. My farrier even had a Easyboot fit kit, and we determined he needed wide boots. Had these overnighted to make a 4-day horse camping trip in the Big South Fork of TN. Boots were amazing. Fit tight on his hooves (if they fit right, there will be SOME wriggling to get them on) and the velcro gaiters wrapped tightly but easily. Our first ride out was through gravel, rock, sucking mud, flowing rivers, steep ups & downs. Boots never moved, drained exceptionally well (considering no drain holes in soles), and most importantly, DID NOT RUB. Wore them for four days in 3 hour stretches with zero problems. One particularly rough stretch of trail resulted in one small velcro area coming undone, but the boot was NOT moving or even close to coming off. I've had the Boas in the past and the wires broke two out of three times (I think due in part to fit). A friend rides in Epics but the struggle to get those on and off discouraged me. These were perfect, my horse seemed to love them, and I know I did! I would HIGHLY recommend for a barefoot horse!
