Posted By: animal lady (OWENSVILLE, MO) Dec 11, 2012 I bought Stall skins for 3 12'x12' stalls back in 2000. They are just now starting to show wear! They allow the urine to go through to the layer of sand below and they dry out in a few hours. The surface is soft and cushy which is helpful for my pony who founders frequently. I have a couple of horses that paw the surface when waiting for their food and they have never broken through the stall skin. A confession: they say to keep at least 6" of sawdust or other bedding to protect the stall skin, but I have gone months without any bedding cover and these skins still hold up. I have large horses, donkeys and the pony who once spent 6 months in the stall and they are just now starting to show some wear... no holes, just a bit of coming up at the edges. Superb product!
