Well I decided to try this after going through every type of feeder for my horse. He would not leave his hay in any feeder, choosing to pull it out and fling it all over. Hay nets were a chore for both of us and he especially wasn't happy. Valley Vet had the best price on this product I could find so I ordered it. My husband put it together. You will need somebody Very handy and strong to put it together. Assembly is the hard part. It is 75 lbs and very heavy. Took about an hour to assemble. We attached it to my horse's stall wall and gave it a try. I love it. The spacing of the top bars is just right so the horse can get a bite but not pull any out. Well designed and constructed. My horse is a little spooky so I put some carrots on it first. After the initial "What the hell is that and what is it doing in my stall" I put some hay in and Yay it works like it says. I only put it in today and I can see it will have to be cleaned weekly(probably just brushed out) so it continues to work properly. Obviously designed by horse people as it looks like there is nothing they can get cut on. Also very strongly built it looks horse proof. I am very pleased so far and have to say for the quality and design worth the price. If you can afford it very highly recommended.
