Love it! Endure Sweat-Resistant Fly Spray
Posted By: Carrol (FAIR PLAY, MO) Jul 8, 2012

We live in an area with a LOT of ticks. I've used Endure Sweat-Resistant Fly Spray for 5 years and recently tried it as a wipe on to see if it would help repel the early infestation of ticks we had this spring. I was impressed at how well the Endure kept ticks off my horses with a simple wipe up each leg a couple of times a month. I had been using a separate product to repel ticks but several of our horses were sensitive or had reactions where they were spot treated. Using the Endure Fly Spray there is no more stomping or hair loss and it's easier on the budget!

Great Stuff and My Mare Doesn't Mind the Smell
Posted By: HossaMare (Anton Chico, NM) Jun 28, 2012

What Mountain Rider and F. Sims said--plus, it doesn't stink like other brands. I see other people using the sulfurous-scented, cheaper brands, gagging and eyes watering, and they wonder why their horses are trying to dodge the spray! My 11 yo QH mare is picky about her "products" and she likes the Endure Fly Spray. Plus, it doesn't leave a sticky residue on her coat.

Vet recommended
Posted By: Montana Rider (THOMPSON FLS, MT) Jul 20, 2011

My Vet recommended this product and I am very impressed with it. I have 6 horses, 2 drafts and this stuff is amazing. The biting flies and gnats have virtually left the horses alone and now they find relief and can stand still long enough to eat. The tail switching, stomping and head bobbing has stopped. When they see me coming with the spray, they will line up to be sprayed and fight to be the first one. Yeah, horses are smart ...they know what works and now I do too!

endure
Posted By: cajole07 (BENNINGTON, KS) Jun 29, 2011

I have a mule that got a very big cut on his hip in May. Not a good time for a monster cut at the start of summer and fly season. I had been using Endure when needed on my other horses, so thought I would use it around the wound and body. With daily care and fly spray I am so impressed and glad to say no fly problems and maggots. The wound is healing nicely and pretty close to closed. I would recommend this spray to any one. It works great!

Great stuff
Posted By: Jen H (NEW HAVEN, IN) Jul 12, 2009

A friend and I went for a trail ride through the woods. Prior to leaving, we asked some other riders how the bugs were. They complained about the deer flies attacking their horses faces and polls. I made sure to spray my horse with extra attention around his face. I had zero bugs on my horse for the entire ride! It was a very quiet ride for both of us. This was definitely a first. This is the first spray I've used that is 100% effective.

Endure Fly spay is a winner
Posted By: L. BRUHN (CHRISTMAS VLY, OR) Apr 20, 2009

I live in the high desert of Oregon, where the sagebrush grows. Sagebrush is where ticks, especially deer ticks, thrive. Using Endure once a week keeps the ticks away completely from my horses. Also the smell is not as bad as some other brands of fly spray. I highly recommend this product.

Yep. It works!
Posted By: PalominoRider (SAN DIEGO, CA) Aug 3, 2008

Been using it for about 4 years now. Actually works and lasts. I don't usually use it on the whole horse, just where the flies like to land along the belly, lower part of the front legs (in the groove where the tendons are). For around the eyes I take a small tack sponge, cut it in half, and spray into the cut edge a few times to make a nice non-drip "applicator" for around the eyes and face. I keep the cut sponge tucked between the handle and the bottle so it doesn't get lost. For me one bottle lasts the better part of the fly season (depending on how many times I let a friend "borrow" some fly spray....'cause mine works!).

Actually works
Posted By: Susan (Montclair, CA) Jun 11, 2008

This is the only "long-lasting" fly spray in my experience that actually works. I have a mule that attracts flies a hundred to one over my horses and she'll be miserable and covered with bleeding bites if not kept sprayed. A light spritz won't be enough, but one good, heavy application keeps her comfortable for at least a week to ten days. I usually re-apply after a long, hot ride and a bath. I'm also an equine vet and I haven't seen skin irritation issues with this product as I have with others (mostly the ones containing aromatic oils like eucalyptus or citronella---sorry, but true). A tip for getting good staying power is to apply the spray fairly heavily, especially on the legs and belly, and use your hand or a medium body brush to really rub it into the hair so you get good contact. If the animal is dirty, it's obviously not going to last nearly as well. A small towel really soaked in the liquid around the face and ears works well, too. I put the towel into a zip-lock freezer bag and pour the liquid in, then keep it stored in the bag between applications.

ABSOLUTELY the BEST YET!!
Posted By: kast_n_magic (Sparta, TN) Jul 27, 2007

Although "pricey" I must say that this product absolutely works! We use it on our cows to keep the flies off of their faces and out of their eyes. If anyone is familiar with all the flies that can ride on the backs of cattle, let me tell you that our cattle don't have to deal with this problem any longer! I simply mist over their backs as they're eating at the bunk feeder and that's it. Problem solved....I was actually amazed and thrilled of course. Most sprays work for a few minutes...but the flies are back. With this, no fly will even dare come around. We've also used it on our goats, poultry as well as our dogs... I could easily recommend this product and am glad to have chosen to try it myself. It WORKS!!

IT WORKS!
Posted By: eslamberson (JOHNS ISLAND, SC) Feb 25, 2007

Living in HOT humid conditions in Charleston, SC! We have horrible tabenid flies that bite our dogs! Endure Sweat Resistant fly spray is the only thing that keeps them from being a mass of pustules. It keeps the other flies off my 3 horses too! I have actually seen the flies fly around them and then disappear without even landing. It lasts at least 3 wks on the dogs and 2 wks on the horses. We swim our dogs everyday during the summer and it lasts thru swimming too. ESLamberson, Johns Is. SC

Endure is great
Posted By: debbiedo (HOPKINTON, RI) Aug 3, 2006

This is the first fly repellant that I've found that actually works. AND it has the added benefits of smelling pretty good- almost like aq mild soap. I have a sensitive skinned TB who *hates* other fly repellants but stands quietly to be sprayed with Endure. I haven't had any fly spray scald with this product either. It has the added advantages of being UV resistant and builds up a non oily residue that continues to repel flies.

It works if you use it right
Posted By: horsefly (SNYDER, TX) May 14, 2006

I have Rope horses and Cutting horses so you know would think that with the work outs that I put my horses thru would sweat off any fly spray but no matter how lathered they get this stuff keeps the flies away. I love it cause it works!! My horses are normally the only ones that are standing tied not just stomping and swatting the flies away.

Endure Fly Spray

This stuff just plain works. Flying insect pests hate it. I wouldn't face a southern summer without it.

Better than average for the $
Posted By: Mr. Mike (COOKEVILLE, TN) Nov 8, 2005

In the Upper Cumberlands of Tennessee heat and humidity wreak havoc on fly sprays from the end of May into October. Endure lasts better than the other products we've used while trail riding, but after about 5 hours the big horse flys start landing on our horses' butts and the deer flys start testing their ears and polls. Endure seems to continue doing a good job on mosquitoes and ticks through the end of the day. The many other products we've tried on the trail often don't even make it to lunch time, so on balance I'm happy with Endure.

EXCELLENT -
Posted By: CHERYL P (HOCKLEY, TX) Sep 9, 2005

I have a QH/draft cross who HATES fly spray - with this stuff I only have to spray twice a week - and she only flinches initially - until she catches a whiff of the sent. Then she relaxes and let's me spray away. I only buy Endure now.

Endure Fly Spray
Posted By: Marianne (YATES CENTER, KS) Sep 8, 2005

Finally, a fly spray that really works! This is my exclusive fly spray for horse shows. It is the only product we have used that makes it through the entire show. Plus, it doesn't attract dust, doesn't leave a greasy film on the horse, and lasts throughout the day (even on the hot days). I love this stuff. It's expensive so it stays in the trailer for use at only the horse shows. I have experimented with it at home on horses that are kept in runs or pasture. It does seem to last longer than the other popular brands. However, I still have to reapply every 24 hours or so. All-in-all, it is a great product.

Worked very well...
Posted By: meliasmomma (VALLEJO, CA) Aug 22, 2005

I liked it much better than others I have been using. It's great to see my horse napping without flies swarming her eyes and legs.

It really works
Posted By: Mountain Rider (FAIRVIEW, IL) Jul 12, 2005

I have come to expect a fly spray to maybe last a few minutes and give the horses a slight break from stomping at flies. Was I ever surprised with Endure! I wiped it on their legs and belly and suddenly there was total silence in the barn. ALL the stomping stopped and everyone started napping. I would have been thrilled if it only lasted a while, but we're on day 3 now and it's still working fairly well (there's an occasional stomp, but nothing like before).

Great stuff
Posted By: F. SIMS (KILAUEA, HI) Jun 13, 2005

This is the best fly spray I've ever used on my horses (and dogs). Living in Hawaii, we have unpredictable rain showers. The endure stays on and continues to work for days. I tried using another (more expensive) product that claimed it had lasting moisture-proof power, and even in the summer, with no rain, it worked for less than 24 hours. No comparison! Endure also keeps off the mosquitoes and gnats too.
