This pad helps Posted By: MeMeBailey (WAXHAW, NC) Jun 21, 2005 This extra piece under the saddle pad allows me to keep my cinch a little looser without encouraging slippage (makes my horse much happier to be saddled without squeezing his belly too much). I use it doubled-over and have cut it down to size so it's barely noticeable under my western saddle. I've even thrown it in a warm wash/low-heat dry and it came out alive. It gets very wet under the pad from even a light workout.
