We use it hooked up to hose to fill the horses water buckets. It really cleans our water, that has lots of minerals and iron. Crystal clear. It does slow the flow, and now has lasted 8 months, before it is so clogged, the water comes out very, very slow. But still worth it. May keep horses from getting stones?
