Best Calving Tool I Own

I've had one of these for over 10 years and have caught everything from newborns to 400 pounders with it. I carry it on the front rack of my ATV and have never bent it when accidently catching on gates. The only problem with it is after all these years of rattling around on an ATV I've finally worn out the catch for extending it to 10 feet.

I have used this product for two years now tagging over 200 head.
I CARRY IT WITH ME ON MY ATV IN CALVING SEASON AND TAGGING CALVES AS THEY ARE BORN. IT ALLOWS ME TO CATCH CALF AND KEEP A EYE ON THE COWS SINCE I CAN STAND UP WITH THE CALF AND PULL HIM TO ME. COW CAN STILL TOUCH THE CALF WHILE I HOLD IT.

I bought this because we were not sure how to catch a wild little 5 month old bull calf in our pasture. We could get within about 5 feet of him and then he'd take off running. Since no one in my family is a roper this seemed like our only option. Much to my delight it worked great. It was just enough to stop him while we got a rope around his neck. It really works!
