I have 3 of these and love them as the last one was 3yrs old before I had to replace it! They have worked here in Vermont as cold as -30 below!

We have had our heaters (2) for approx 6-7 years. They work great. If you take them out when the weather warms up and clean them they will last. We keep ours in the original box, clean after winter and they are as good as new. We would definately purchase again. I recommend this tank heater to all horse owners. Just make sure you have the power cord out of reach so horses don't get tempted to play with them!!

GREAT!! Have two, one in sm. stock tank & also horse tank. Had ice storm with 5 day power outage, when power was restored, so was tank heater. Keeps tank completely thawed. Unplug if tank is drained to avoid burning element. KEEP ANIMALS OUT OF TANK! Escaping livestock or horses pawing water are the only problems we have encountered.

This works great but it only lasts for one year. They seem to break in one place or another. I've bought 3 and am getting to buy my 4th.
