Hoof Alive

I don't know about using Hoof Alive on hooves, but on sores and cuts and rubs, it is remarkable how fast they heal. Lots of good stuff in this product.

Fantastic!!!
Posted By: E. QUINN (SCOTTSDALE, AZ) May 27, 2011

I started using this product on my mare about a month ago and have seen great results. She got a good sized crack that started at the top of her hoof a few weeks before I started using Hoof Alive and I wasn't sure what to do. I had heard Hoof Alive was good so I decided to try it an is has worked great! I have been putting it on all her hoofs twice a week for a month now and they have grown out atleast a half an inch without a crack which is amazing. It smells great too! The only thing I don't like is the price and that it does not come with a brush but if I keep getting the same results I can over look the cons!

Highly Recommend!

I started using Hoof Alive on my 3 worst footed horses the day of my horses' June trim. I used it every other day the first week, then went to once a week. Prior to Hoof Alive, their feet were cracking and breaking off only 3 weeks after a trim. This time, they didn't start cracking or breaking off until just 3-4 days before their trim at exactly 6 weeks. After this first 6 week trial period, I am convinced that the product does what it says it will do. With continued usage, I expect they will start going trim to trim without any problems. (I do use a hoof supplement in conjunction with the hoof dressing.) I bought the small jar and I still have some left after using it for 6 weeks on 3 horses, so a little goes a long way. I'm just disappointed to see the large jar is no longer available, I was going to buy it this time around since I know the product works!

Hoof Alive is a wonderful product!
Posted By: spectacularbid814 (RED OAK, TX) Dec 31, 2008

I rescued an OTTB from 2 years of neglect. He had not seen a vet or farrier during this time. He had a vertical hoof crack in a rear hoof that was all the way to the coronet. It was very wide at the toe. My farrier trimmed him and put shoes with clips on his rear feet. My vet recommended Hoof Alive. I went to work with Hoof Alive daily. In a couple of weeks, I could see improvement. The crack began to close. I also use Hoof Alive on the frog and soles of his feet. It keeps the frog flexible and the soles moisturized. I have continued to use this product on him and my farrier says he has "great feet", which is miraculous for a thoroughbred! I love the fact that this product contains so many natural ingredients and it even smells good. I NEVER use petroleum/pine tar/turpentine products on my horses feet. The crack has grown out completely and I have had the rear shoes pulled. No sign of a crack, just healthy feet. As an added bonus, this product has also done wonders on my hands and nails! Try it.

A great product...not JUST for horses!
Posted By: YRT Ranch (CENTERVILLE, TX) Jan 27, 2008

After hearing about this from a friend, I used it on my Friesian's front hoofs where he continuously has a surface crack in the middle of each one. It closed the crack and I use it now only once every week or two to keep them that way. Then a couple of my Scottish Highland cows got dry splits between their front toes and I packed this in their feet about 3-4 times and it healed them right up! Put it on their dry teats as well and it really soothed. Okay...so what ELSE can I put this stuff on....let's see...I have it!! My husband's dry, cracked, sore soles...yep!! Helped the husband too! I'm keeping this around for all of us to use!! Thanks for such a great product and please don't stop making/carrying it!!

Hoof Alive is Great
Posted By: D. DAVIS (TETON, ID) Nov 5, 2007

We have a horse who had a cracked hoof that just kept getting worse. It was almost clear up to the cornet and was getting wider at the bottom. There was also a big indentation on the side of the hoof where the crack was. We had tried keeping shoes on year round to keep the crack from getting worse. We had someone suggest that we try Hoof Alive that it was good and might help. Not only is the crack gone but the hoof no longer is indented either. This change occured over about 3 months of regular use.

Hoof Alive
Posted By: haywoman (CENTERVILLE, TX) Aug 28, 2007

I have a registered Paint Mare who cut off the back of her right front hoof about 9 months ago-we have spent these last months at the vet, wrapping, soaking, walking - now she has a contracted heel due to all the being stalled, wrapped, soaked etc. I found Hoof Alive when I was looking for something else-so I thought it states it is for contracted heels so I threw caution to the wind and thought what can it hurt and bought a jar. IT IS WONDERFUL-we have used it only about two weeks and already my farrier can tell the foot is starting to open up and look like a real foot again. Wish I had found this months ago.
