My horse was in a Tom Thumb when we bought him, but we switched to an O-ring snaffle because he played with the other one too much. He was ready to move up to a next level bit, and this bit works really well for him and me. The roller is stiff, so my horse still tries to play with the shanks of the bit, but the shanks are curved back so it is harder for him to reach. Overall, this bit is very good for a horse ready to move to the next level of bit.
