My horses would hardly touch a mineral block, and would not go near white salt licks. Usually those types would end up falling apart due to weather or other elements. Although Himalayan licks cost signifigantly more, it is well worth it. Several studies have shown it contains more varied and refined minerals and salt, things that get lost in the "bricking process" of other licks. My horses LOVE this and it last quite awhile which makes the cost worth it. I tie it to a post using the rope it comes with and it lasts a long time, even thru weather (hot and cold-I live in Colorado) this is because it is solid and not "baked" as others are. Highly recommend!!!!

I purchased this at the Equine Affair from a vendor. It fits perfectly as a replacement for the Likit Toy, and the horses loved it! It also lasted a lot longer than the traditional salt brick. Thumbs up!
