I have used the equipak and adhere for the first time this riding season and I am throughly pleased with these products. I ride in several states, home being Tennesse and these products have stood up to the rivers and mountain riding beautifully. I have used the equipak under my leather pads, as well as, just using it with the mesh and pak on the sole of the foot, great great great. I use the adhere on my paint gelding that looses shoes and this season it has not been a problem. I'm happy, my horses are happy and my ferrier is joyeous. My horses feet have never been in as good of condition at the end of my season as they have been this year (2011). If you have not tried these products I urge anyone that rides in different terrain like I to try these products. I shoe every 5 weeks so it is a must to keep your horses feet done on a regular schdule using these products. I will be using these products for a long time or until I quite riding.

Excellent, but pay special attention to application procedures

This hoof packing is wonderful stuff and I saw an amazing difference in my riding pony. Just make sure you remember 3 things: Hoof prep, hoof prep, hoof prep! If the hoof isn't extremely clean and dry when Equip-pak is applied, you will be disappointed in the results when you pull the shoe. Make sure you remove anything that looks like it could be dirt or dead hoof. I always use a hair drier to thoroughly dry the hoof, but that might not be necessary in dry areas. One other thing, don't order more than you will use in a few months time. This stuff has a one year shelf life. The following is from Vettec on how to tell when your tubes were manufactured: "If you want to know how old your products are, look on the back of the cartridge near the bottom of the label and you should find 2 small sets of numbers which are usually the same. Example: 5555A4 The first four numbers are the batch number, the "A" is the month, A=Jan, B=Feb, C=March and so on. The 4 is the year 2004."
