Burgon & Ball Ez-Trim Foot Rot Shear Posted By: LKB (Lucasville, OH) Nov 13, 2009 I got a pair several years ago so I could trim my family's pet domesticated deer's hooves. They did such a good job and were so easy to use that I decided to try them on my donkey's hooves as well. Being white and thus rather soft, her hooves require relatively constant maintance and I found that these shears did a better job and were easier to use than my hoof nippers because I only needed one hand to operate them. Needless to say, I soon found myself getting another pair so I could always have a set close at hand. The easy to use safety latch is also another plus as far as I am concerned.
