Not your average clippers
Posted By: ArabGirl33 (HASTINGS, MI) Jun 11, 2011

I really did a lot of research before buying a new set of clippers and I finally settled on these. Many reasons drew me to buying these, for starters they're cordless. Which means I don't have to find an extension cord, get myself wrapped up in it or under the horses legs or drug thru any manure/mud. The product claims they have a lot of power, are quiet, lightweight, they charge quickly, have a battery life indicator on the front and there is a "no-memory" battery. When I got these clippers I took a look at them and honestly thought, oh boy, I just spent the motherload on THESE clippers? Being pretty light weight I thought they were cheezy, but then well... I'll give them a try. Love love love them! Nice close shave, plenty of power, quiet, and did I mention cordless, how awesome! I clipped both of my horses in record time and they hadn't been clipped since fall so there was a lot to do. I think for people who have horses who are scared or "first-timers" these would be great training tool being cordless you wouldn't get tangled up in the cords and you'd be able to move about freely with the horse to get them use to clippers. I'm really happy I bought these clippers. They are everything that the company says they are, they are a great product. The only thing is I guess I was expecting them to be silent. Definately a 5 star clipper. I've let my dad borrow them to clip his dog and he was so happy he could just go outside without having to hunt down an extension cord and could just clip him outside without having a mess in the house. I clipped my dog too and was impressed as he has very thick fur. I wasn't sure if a cordless clipper would have enough power, but believe me - these do! Being cordless I find myself getting them out very regularly to do touchups here and there for a nice clean look. I'm glad I splurged and bought these clippers they're worth it! (Not to mention, Valley Vet's price on these was better than anywhere else I'd found.)

Whal Clippers--Best Purchase I've made in years
Posted By: p31agwoman (Prineville, OR) Jul 11, 2010

I am so impressed with the Whal Chromado Clippers. My Great Pyranese and Australlian Shepherd always ran from clippers before but they actually seem to find the Chormado somewhat soothing. Boy was I surprised when they held perfectly still for the virtually silent clippers. They are ranch dogs and despite brushing, frequently get dirty and matted. Most of the year I just let it go, but in the summer, they are plagued by sharp cheat grass seeds that are impossible to see without clipping. Traditionally, I've dreaded clipping because they've hated the noise of my old worn out clippers. Imagine my delight when they not only held perfectly still, but pawed at me for more when I quit.
