Blocker Tie Ring II Totally Great!
Posted By: snoepje (EASTON, KS) Jul 4, 2012

I remember the old fashioned way my old farrier taught me to "tie her high and let her fight it out" and did not want to do that with my new baby. When I saw the Blocker Tie Ring II demonstrated by Clinton Anderson I wanted to try it out. I was able to teach both my 2 yr old and my yearling to stand quietly tied while I play with another horse nearby with minimal fuss and no injuries. My neighbor is amazed at how calmly they both stand for their age, and they have never had any drama about it. I started out with a 22' line so they had a lot of play, just in case, but they never needed it. I've never had to go to the level 2 of tying, they learned to stand at level 1.

Love My Blocker Tie Ring!!!
Posted By: Galloping Gals (DOUSMAN, WI) Jul 27, 2011

After my horse pulled back the second time, she literally pulled off the rail to the hitching post!! The horses were fine (another horse was tied to it on the other side and ended up in a tug of war with a 10'rail between them!) My partner calmed them down and untied the quick release knot but what a terrifying situation for all involved. Since then we have been very cautious about tying them up. I did some research on the internet and found this product. We used them today on level 1 - expecting her to pull back. She didn't, but more importantly seemed relaxed in the new tying situation. She moved her head around and tried to reach the ground (but I didn't want her to eat while I was brushing her). She felt the tension and just moved slightly to release it. We ALL felt better in this situation. Now I can relax while she is tied like this knowing that if she gets spooked the outcome will be much better. The order came in just a few days and with no shipping charges or handling fees!!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

I never tie my horses without them. They are easy to use,and a fast way to tie a horse.Your horse will never get injured by pulling back using tie blocker. I tried everything to break my TB from pulling back. Once I started using tie blocker, the problem is gone. Even after years for breaking leads, pulling. I never worry about them while tied with tie blockers. Use them correctly and you will be amazed. I recommend using a long lead to start, 12' long. No more binder twin, or broken leads. try them, you wont be disapointed!!!!

My only problem with this product is I wish I had had them available to me many years ago. Having horses come into the barn that had never been taught to tie was a nightmare requiring extra vigilance and one on one attention at all times. I had halters and ropes break over the years and one horse killed himself by pulling back and throwing himself forward and breaking his neck when he hit the wall. THis is a life saver for horses and owners. I have seen horses who constantly tested tension and refuse to relax stand quietly after one session with the tie blocker. It is so easy to use, there is no excuse not to have one.

Love my Tie Blockers
Posted By: Trailriding Fool (CUMBERLAND, WI) Mar 25, 2009

I have several of these Tie Blockers around my barn and in my trailer. It really gives me peace of mind if I have to walk away from a tied horse that's still questionable in his comfort level. First time users should see the Clinton Anderson training video to fully realize the functions and safety of the tie blocker when used correctly. There are several ways to wrap a rope through to adjust the amount of pull required to release the rope. I haven't had a broken halter, rope, post or injured horse since implementing these. 100% satisfied.
