I use to work on the track and there was this horse that I asked the owners if I can have when he was done racing. The horse, was always a poor eater, showed ulcer symptoms and we had him on gastroguard at the track. His coat was always very dull and lifeless.
When the owner gave him to us, he was on the thin side but not as bad as I expected. But his coat and his poor eating habits drove me crazy as I always want to see my horse eat. I read that Todd Pletcher uses ReBorne on all his horses so I figured I would try it on Marky. After administering Re Borne to Marky for 2 days, that night he cleaned up, everything! He NEVER cleaned his tub, especially after shipping to another track. In 3 weeks, you wouldn't know its the same horse except for his tattoo number!
I highly recommend ReBorne for anyone with a poor eater, nervous or just wanting to put some weight on their horse. Peg.

colostrum for wounds

Several years ago my mare ripped open her side 12" long, 3" deep on her door latch that required four hours of stitches. Despite daily vet visits and endless medications, the wound simply did not heal and we were facing a hard decision. In desperation, we ordered some liquid colostrum from Valley Vet - and within 24 hours the wound had scabbed over, and the infection was gone. All the hair grew back along the scar (and in her regular color).
Since then whenever I have a serious wound, I give the liquid colostrum, and my anecdotal observations is that it speeds healing and reduces infection.
