Antitoxin used in the prevention of enterotoxemia (overeating disease) caused by Clostridium perfringens types C & D in cattle, sheep and goats and in swine when caused by type C. Provides immediate but temporary protection, with a passive immunity that lasts approximately 14-21 days. Give suckling lambs, goats and suckling pigs 5 ml SQ. Give suckling calves, feeder lambs and pigs 10 ml SQ. Give feeder calves and cattle 25 ml SQ.
For the immunization of sheep and cattle against enterotoxemia (0vereating disease) caused by Clostridium perfringens types C & D. Give sheep 2 ml SQ. Give cattle 5 ml SQ. Repeat in 21-28 days. Booster annually.
Alpha-CD is a one dose C & D toxoid for all types of cattle. Aids in the reduction of enterotoxemia caused by Clostridium perfringens Types C & D toxins. Unique DD-2 adjuvant maximizes immune response while stimulating a high degree and long duration of protection. A single dose provides protective levels of immunity. Give 2 ml SQ. Calves vaccinated at less than 3 months of age should be revaccinated at weaning or 4-6 months of age. Annual booster is recommended. Transient swelling at the injection site may occur.
For use in healthy cattle and sheep as an aid in the prevention of diseases caused by Clostridium perfringens Types B, C, & D. Vaccination of pregnant animals assures high levels of protection through the colostrum to nursing newborns. Give 2 ml IM to cattle and 1 ml to sheep. Repeat in 21 days. Revaccinate annually.
